Ingredients:
1 tube Egg Tofu(bean curd)
300 gm minced pork
3-4 cloves garlic ( minced)
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
2 dash white pepper
1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
1 cup water
I stalk scallion(cut)
2 tsbp oil
Method:
1:Cut both side egg tofu tube to release the air before cut again in the middle to take out the tofu.Handle with care.Cut each slice 1 -2 inch.
2:Coated with corn starch and pan fried with high heat until golden brown each side.Remove to a plate.
3:Mixed minced meat with 1 tbsp corn starch,soy sauce ,white pepper and 1-2 drop water in a bowl.
4:Heat skillet with 1 tbsp oil ,add garlic,fry for 1 minutes then add in water .Let it boil and add in minced meat mixture,then add in oyster sauce and chicken bouillon powder.Sprinkle some cut scallion on top.Serve warm with white rice. Note:
You can use any meat like minced beef,minced turkey or chicken.You can also add in shrimp or scallop enhance the flavor.If you're a vegan just omit the meat and add in sweet peas,green peas,snow peas,carrot,mushroom,string beans,Chinese cabbage and other green.

i've never tried doing this dish, its not that i like, i love so much tofu.;its just so hard to find here in our area :-( i should take note of this recipe for the occassion i'll have some tofu at home :-)
Nice combination...I sometimes add in crabsticks and eggwhite for a more colourful platter....
hmm silky and tasty....this gets me inspired hehe...the problem is i'll have to make a separate veggie dish and i am soooo not into making 2 dishes (lazyyyyy)
I also like egg tofu a lot but can't seems to find it here in PA. The next time I go to NY I need to buy a few packets of it. This is my fav way of cooking my tofu too :)

Yes,yes I remember I eat egg white and crabsitck in claypot tofu in KL...very yummy!!

I wonder why PA don't have this tofu.The shelf life is quite long since it's vacuum packed.All the while I thought all asian store in US do carry this item...hmmmn now I'm wrong..

oh!! you have the same problem as Gert to get this tofu?.When I shop inb Chinatown,every store do carry this eggy tofu..Hmmm maybe you should suggest to your asian store owner to sell this tofu .
I love this dish. Usually add some mixed frozen vegetables and it is a one dish meal with rice
