Shrimp and Pork Silken Bean Curd

I always cook tofu dish for Mishu.I stocked few boxes of Silken to-fu in the fridge all the time. There another name for this tofu:-Japanese tofu.Why?...The Japanese use this type of tofu for their cooking and Miso soup.Surprisingly,I found the silken To-Fu ,I stock 3 months ago is still editable.

1 box Silken Tofu

3-4 cloves garlic(minced)

100 gm minced pork mix with 1 tsp corn starch & 1tsp soy sauce

10 pc clean shrimp

1 tsp chicken stock ( powder)

1 tsp oyster sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

2 tbsp corn starch mix with 1/4 cup cold water

2 tbsp oil

1/2 cup water

1 stalk scallion(sliced small for garnishing)

1:Cut tofu at both end to let some air in and cut center to remove tofu from the box.Must handle this silken tofu with care, very fragile.Cut to 6 pieces and coated with corn starch.
2:Heat wok or skillet with oil, slowly lay the tofu onto the skillet.Fry both side until brown.Remove the tofu to a plate, set aside.Use the same skillet to fry minced garlic until fragrant.Add in water ,minced pork, shrimp and seasoning.
3:Lastly squirt some sesame oil and garnish with some scallion.Serve warm with white rice.

Mishu love this dish.I think tofu is really good for her or any children for their daily food intake.Don't we Asian love tofu in our meal?.It's easy to cook hence taste good and cheap.
