Braised Chuck Beef with Potato and Carrot in Beer(Pressure cooker)

This is the 1st time I had used beer to braised beef chuck with baby carrot and potato in pressure cooker.This meal is comfy and easy to prepared..By using pressure cooker the braising time was cut to an hour.Not to said the meat was silken soft and tender.


3 lbs chuck beef,cut cube
6 potato,peeled and cut into 4 each
2 cups baby carrot
1 large onion,peeled and cut


1 bottle of Heineken beer
2 tbsp chicken bullion powder tomato flavor
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp ground sage
2 tbsp salt
3 tbsp canola oil
5 cloves fresh garlic,peeled and chopped


1:Prepare pressure cooker at high heat with garlic and canola oil.Saute for 30 seconds,then toss in cube beef.Seal the beef at high heat for 1 minute.
2:Add in all the seasoning ,baby carrot ,onion and potato in the pressure cooker.Close the pressure cooker with lid and knob.
3:Cook for 15-20 minutes,then remove pressure cooker from heat Slowly remove the knob to release the hot air (becareful of the hot air from shooting out)
4:Check the seasoning.Dish out and serve warm.
