Personally,I like to Boston lettuce and Red Leaf lettuce but hubby preferred iceberg lettuce for his salad.Since we still have a piece of leftover Porterhouse steak,I used it to make salad for hubby and Mishu for their lunch..They said this steak salad is delicious !!
Ingredients:
2 small heads Boston lettuce, washed and rip with hands
I head Red Leaf lettuce, washed and rip with hands
2 hard boiled eggs, removed shell and cut 1/2
1 ripe Hass Avocado, cut and sliced
1 handful crouton,any flavor
1/2 cup shredded yellow cheese
1 small onion,peeled and slice
1 sliced Porter House steak,6 oz
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp butter
blue cheese dipping sauce on side.
Method:
1:Rip Boston lettuce and Red Leaf lettuce with hands (rip with hands is to prevent discolored-brown)and soaked in cold water for 30 minutes before drained.(Soak lettuce in cold water to produces crispiness)
Season salt and ground pepper on the steak.Pan-fried or grill steak with butter on both side for 5 minutes.Remove steak from grill and let it cool before slice.
2:Prepared 2 large plates for the lettuce.Mix both lettuce on the plate before place crouton, onion, avocado, hard boiled egg ,shredded cheese and slices steak.
3:Serve cold with your favorite sauce.
