Cream Cheese Chiffon Cake ll

This entry might be the last post I'm going to post before I leave for my summer vacation in Asia in 2 days.If I have a chance to bake or make something delicious and good in my mom home ,I will post it provided the internet connection will co-operate .Well,I remember baked cream cheese chiffon cake before but this time I tried to twist the ingredients slightly..Hope you like it!












Ingredients:(A)
1 cup cake flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
5 large eggs yolk,room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
(B)
8 oz or I block cream cheese, softened
200 ml milk
1 cup melted butter(1 1/2 stick or 10 tbsp)
(C)
6 large white eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp tartar cream





Method:

1:Combine all (B) in double boiler,cook until it's thicken and inco-operate together.Set aside to cool down or if you are in rush bath with ice cold water to cool down.

2:Pre-heat oven to 350F degree F (my oven is slightly high in temperature so I set at 325 F)

3: Sieve all the (A) ingredients in a mixing bowl except eggs,beat until well combined.

4: Mix and beat ingredients (A) until well blended and then add in ingredient(B) ,whisk until smooth.

5:Beat ingredients (C) in mixer on high speed until stiff peak and glossy. It should not fall out when you turn the mixing bowl over. Fold 1/3 of the egg whites into the egg yolks mixture and continue to do so until egg whites is finish. Remember to fold in gently until well mixed.Do not beat!!

6: Pour batter into a un-greased 10" tube pan and bake for 45-55 minutes or used a bamboo skewer to test the cake. Just insert the skewer into the center of the cake and it should comes out clean.

7: Invert cake and let it cool complete in the pan. When is cool, loosen the edge of the pan with knife and remove cake.

8: Cut the cake to 12 pieces or your desire size and serve with tea or coffee.

Pan-Seared Ribeye with Shrimp and Macaroni

Steak is a very common meat served as dinner in any many Western restaurant and home.Most of the time steak lover preferred to cook their steak on the grill then pan-fried.But to get a good cut of steak is not really hard.Every meat market or supermarket do carry high end cut of steak.If you don't mind to wet your hand ,cooking steak at home is not hard at all.In facts it's really easy and entertaining!! One words:Priceless!!











Ingredients:
2 pieces of rib eye cut about 1 1/2 thick
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp sea salt

6 large shrimp,peeled and deviened
2 tbsp butter

1 pack Kraft macaroni,cook accordingly to the instruction on the box
2 plum tomato,washed and sliced
Method:
1:Season salt and ground pepper on the rib eye for 30 minutes or longer.Heat aluminum skillet at high heat,rub some butter on the skillet before place the steak on the pan.Pan-fry both side ,about 5 minutes each side.Again it's depend on how well you want it:medium,rare or well done..
2:While the steak is pan-fried,cook macaroni accordingly to the instruction on the box.Then sliced the tomato.
3:Remove steak from skillet to plates,add in some butter before toss in the shrimps.Pan-fry both side of shrimp:20 seconds each side before remove to the steak plate.Do not over cooked.
4:Serve steak immediately while it's warm.

Wheat Linguine with Prosciutto in Creamy Sauce

These days alot of people try to eat healthy food if possible.Well,I'm not one of the very health conscience people but if healthy food is on sale ,I will grab one or two to try. I bought few box of whole wheat linguine for raining day..Too bad hubby is not interested in any wheat pasta..he only want original or regular pasta..He said the wheat pasta doesn't taste good..That right!! Anything is less or No fat or healthy doesn't taste good but it's good for our body,right? Since I bought some prosciutto from Deli ,I might as well cook some of the wheat pasta for myself..I don't know about you,but for me this pasta in white sauce with prosciutto taste great!








Ingredients:
1/2 box or pack wheat linguine,cooked until al denta(cook accordingly to the instruction on the packages)
4-5 cloves fresh garlic,peeled and sliced
1 cup half and half
2 tbsp butter
salt to taste
1 tsp ground black pepper
2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan Cheese
100 gm prosciutto ,cut or sliced
2 tbsp all purpose flour +4 tbsp water
1/4 cup water or milk
2 sprig fresh oregano



Method:
1:Heat 9 or 12 inch skillet at medium high heat.Add in sliced garlic and butter,saute for 40 second,then add in half and half and oregano,stir with spatula.
2:Add in prosciutto,salt ,ground pepper and flour mixture to thicken the sauce.If necessary add in some milk or water,if you want extra sauce.
3:Lastly add in wheat linguine,mix well with all the ingredients..Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.Dish out and serve warm.
