These days alot of people try to eat healthy food if possible.Well,I'm not one of the very health conscience people but if healthy food is on sale ,I will grab one or two to try. I bought few box of whole wheat linguine for raining day..Too bad hubby is not interested in any wheat pasta..he only want original or regular pasta..He said the wheat pasta doesn't taste good..That right!! Anything is less or No fat or healthy doesn't taste good but it's good for our body,right? Since I bought some prosciutto from Deli ,I might as well cook some of the wheat pasta for myself..I don't know about you,but for me this pasta in white sauce with prosciutto taste great!
1/2 box or pack wheat linguine,cooked until al denta(cook accordingly to the instruction on the packages)
4-5 cloves fresh garlic,peeled and sliced
1 cup half and half
2 tbsp butter
salt to taste
1 tsp ground black pepper
2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan Cheese
100 gm prosciutto ,cut or sliced
2 tbsp all purpose flour +4 tbsp water
1/4 cup water or milk
2 sprig fresh oregano
1:Heat 9 or 12 inch skillet at medium high heat.Add in sliced garlic and butter,saute for 40 second,then add in half and half and oregano,stir with spatula.
2:Add in prosciutto,salt ,ground pepper and flour mixture to thicken the sauce.If necessary add in some milk or water,if you want extra sauce.
