Steamed CherryStone Clams with Butter and Garlic

Over the weekend when I was food shopping at local market,I saw Cherry stone clam on sale: a dozen for $3.99.Well,since I'm a seafood lover who love any type of seafood or clam,why not? Unfortunately,I didn't check the bag handle to me by the seafood saler when I was at the store...At home when I unpack the clam I found it's only 11 clams instead of 12 clams.I guess the saler miscalculate the clams..Anyway,I won't go back to the store ask for another one clam..I think the seller will replace the clam for me but it's too much trouble..Just said I'm unlucky..I found a simple and easy way to make this scrumptious Cherry stone clam..since this clam is so fresh I just steamed it and drizzle with some fried garlic and butter..before I steam the clam,I soak it with some salt water to remove any excess soil in the clams.Wooooh!! less then 30 minutes I have my Cherry Stone clam steamed and served.One word:Delicious!!










Ingredients:


1 dozen Cherry stone clams,soak in salt water for 30 minutes
2 cloves garlic,peeled and minced
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp salted butter
some chopped cilantro
Method:

1:Prepare steamer or double boiler with water at high heat.When the water is bubble boil,place clams into the steamer.
2:Steam the clams for about 3-5 minutes or until it's shell open wide.Meanwhile ,heat skillet with olive oil and garlic,fry garlic until golden brown,add in butter,mix well.
3:Remove cooked clams from steamer to a plate,drizzle with garlic mixture,sprinkle some chopped cilantro before serve immediately..

Yummy! I miss eating clams. What a pity that my hubby only eats "lala" the tiny clams and nothing bigger. :(

here in US we can't find 'lala" lor!! I also love "lala"..the only 'lala" i can find is from China in frozen form!!

Wow yummy recipe, I'd like to eat it all time but the problem is it's so expensive, well at least I'm gonna take tips from here in order to prepare something really delicious this weekend.
