I bought a pack of wonton wrapper, plan to make fried wonton but changed my mind when I see a pack of bacon sitting in the fridge. When I was browsing cookbook at our local book store I saw some interesting appetizer cookbook..I get the idea to make Bacon Wrapped with Shrimp from one of the cookbook.Furthermore this appetizer is really easy and simple to make.Anyone without cooking experience can make this appetiser! no brainier needed! If you have gathering or party for friends and family, this Fried Bacon Wrapped with Shrimp is an ideal dish to serve!

Ingredients:
20 pieces wonton wrapper
20 large shrimp,shelled and deveined
1 pack bacon,cut 1/2 each strip
2 stalk Chinese chive or spring onion or regular chives, washed
1 dash white pepper
1 dash fine salt
enough oil for frying
tartar sauce on side
Method:
1: Shelled and deveined shrimp.Season with white pepper and fine salt for 10 minutes.Fold wonton wrapper into 1/2 before place shrimp to roll it up.Use some water to stick the edges together if needed. Then use 1/2 bacon strip to roll again.Place wrapped shrimp on a clean plate.Repeat the same procedure until gone!
2:Heat fryer or deep skillet with oil at medium high heat.Place wrapped shrimp into the hot oil,fry for 2-36 minutes or until golden brown on the bacon..
3:Remove cooked shrimp from fryer and place on a paper towel to drained the excess oil.Use chives to tie the loose bacon together with the shrimp.

Nice, I would have never thought of using wonton wrappers as a coating to fry shrimp in. This seems like a much easier process than anything I've ever tried. I like it!
