Tiny Mini Kisses Cookies

Baking season is here!! Let's count, how many days to Christmas?? 14 or 15 days? Oh no!!!....I'm so lost of the time and date .Last night I just started to baked 5 types of cookies and it's took me 5-6 hours marathon to complete my first batch of baking . Actually baking cookies is much simpler and easier than baking cake in my honest opinion.Well...I dunno about others people..how about you? Care to share your experience with me? I recalled last year at this time , I start to learn how to bake with proper method but still some of the cookies doesn't comes out as good as this year.As they said practise make perfect, right? OK..let's me start posting with my first baked cookies...Tiny Mini Kisses Blossoms.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup shortening

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup light brown sugar

1 egg

3 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 pack Hersey Mini Kisses Semi Sweet or Milk Chocolate

Method:

1: Heat oven to 350 F.Sieved flour, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl, set aside.

2: Beat butter and shortening in large bowl with mixer until well mixed.Add sugar and brown sugar, beat well.Add egg and vanilla, beat until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.Shape into 1/2 inch balls.Repeat the process until the dough finish, place on un-greased cookies sheet.

3:Bake 5-6 minutes or until set.Immediately press Mini Kiss Chocolate into center of each cookie.Remove cookies from cookie sheet to wire rack for cooling.Let's it completely cool down before store in air tight container.

Note:

You will see some unbalance Mini Kiss Choco on the cookies, not center..My almost 4 years old daughter insist to help me with the pressing...She even help me to removed all the Mini Kiss Chocolate wrapper..So you can see the Mini Kisses is quite blur , not shiny at all...

I agree baking cookies is easier than baking a cake. But once you master baking the cake I am sure you don't want to turn back.

For me I am more into baking cakes then cookies. I find cookies takes longer to make especially shaping them. For cakes I put everything in the pan abd bake. I am not baking any this year as I will be going back soon so I reserve the baking until I go back home :)

I'm with Gert. Baking cake is much simpler for me. Just mix and bake, whereas for cookies, it requires more time to shape, roll and decorate.
