Smoked Tofu with Pork and Scallion

Again I cook tofu but this time it's Smoked Tofu.Have you ever try smoked tofu?.Actually the flavour is quite different with smoky smell and the texture is more harder than regular tofu.The good news is you can handle this tofu without care and it won't break easily. Usually smoked tofu come in compact vacuum pack and it's can last for many many months in your fridge.I bought this vacuum pack smoked tofu more than 5 months and it's still editable.
I cut 2 pieces of smoked tofu in thinly strip and stirred fried with lean pork.It's really simple and easy to cook I just sauteed smoked tofu,pork with some garlic,salt,oyster sauce and white pepper for 10 minutes.Lastly add in some cut scallion.Serve with rice.

I understand Chinese from North China love smoked tofu.They can eat smoked tofu in everyday meal.Amazing!!

Gosh, I always see this smoked tofu around in the market, but havent tried it before...sounds intriguing, lemme try this one of these days (normally I use normal white soft tofu, or the tofu puff aka dor fu bok)

The Taiwanese like tofu too - I believe smoked tofu as well.

I tried this smokey tofu once but I don't like it. I wonder if they sell those really hard flat tofu here like the one sold at our Malaysia pasar.

I have bought this a few times and I did not know it is smoke tofu..thought it was five spice flavored tau kua.....I fry it with some cabbages.

This is my first time I cook smoked tofu but I used to eat smoked tofu in restauran.It's quite different from regular white tofu

hahaha!!.beside smoked tofu,they also have stinky tofu!!

You don't like it?.hmmmm...I think you don't like the smoky favour.Maybe I used to it,so it's OK for me.I have no idea the one sell in Msia market is same as this.

I don't think tau kua is the same as smoked tofu..As I understand there are plenty of favour tofu in market here.
